Ive been going to Urth for 2 years now, 2 hand building terms and 3 wheel throwing terms with a selection of teachers and Ive loved it all! All teachers bring something different to the experience but all are relaxed, fun and incredibly helpful. Can't wait for next years classes!
Absolutely loved it. Teacher Alissa was super helpful, calm and explained it so simply. Opportunity to make a few pieces. Everything you needed or might want to use and lots of freedom to try what ever you wanted. Loved it, so relaxing. We will be back. I can't wait.
My perception of Urth Clay Studio has ben tainted by an experience late last year. I had received a $180 gift voucher from my family which I was very excited about. Using the credit on my gift voucher I paid for two tickets- one for me, the other for a friend. Two days prior to the session I contracted gastro, to which I promptly emailed Urth Clay Studio explaining my circumstance and inquiring into ways I can reschedule. I was told that I was unable to rebook and the best way moving forward would be for me to sell my ticket. They vouched for this by explaining how they are a small business that has been financial burdened by instances like mine. Regardless of my attendance (or lack there of), Urth Clay Studio has financially benefitted because the payment method was a gift card which means that the store made revenue prior to me making a purchase with my gift card. Urth Clay Studio has kept my balance as pure profit whilst blaming their inability to reschedule my session on financial burden.

I really enjoyed the sessions - it was a great and fun learning experience.
However, I did not enjoy having someone reaching over me to collect their pottery while I was at a session on the wheel.
People need to be more aware of working around session times to collect their work.
Great for beginners & a lot of fun for anyone who's crafty. 🎨

My son and I really loved our session on Friday night with Syd! So much learning and fun in two hours! She was a ln engaging and very knowledgeable instructor and we were so happy to have made 3 pieces each! Thank you Syd and UrthClay studios! ❤️😊😊 …
Very disappointing customer service. The only priority is making money and not with customer service. I fractured my finger 4 days prior to the group pottery wheel class. Was refused any sort of rescheduling or gift certificate, even with a medical certificate. Lost nearly $300 when I was physically unable to participate in the class. While I totally understand cancellations, being frustrating for small businesses, you would think that some circumstances businesses were lenient or had some compassion.
The most disappointing part is that the customer service encouraged me to come and participate and in the class, ignoring my injury.
Despite sending medical certificates, emailing and calling was just replied to with an automated email, showing a lack of customer care and felt like I was communicating with robots the entire experience.
Unfortunately a horrible experience booking with Urth clay. Asked for a reschedule session 4 days prior to my GROUP pottery wheel class due to a broken finger injury.
Lost all my money for 2 tickets and was refused a receipt or gift card.
Was even encouraged to still do the class injured despite sending medical certificates etc
Not personal or friendly service just care about making money and no care for their customer service.
